In a few short days I will turn 31. That’s right I will officially be in my thirties instead of on the brink but thats ok, I’m handling it well, especially since I have a arsenal of powerhouse products that are making me look and feel younger than ever! This post may be a little lengthy because I’m breaking down the products that have significantly made a major impact on my hair, skin, and makeup routine. Getting older doesn’t have to suck when all these amazing green beauty brands are knocking it out of the park with seriously amazing products!!
SKIN FAVORITES: About a month ago I began to notice my skin was suffering, big time. I was starting to develop under the skin bumps again and it just didn’t seem very refined or glowy. My problem is that I need to learn to incorporate different products into my routine every few months, but I’m a creature of habit and love what I love. So my go-to line True Botanicals was super sweet to send me their Cellular Repair Serum and Vitamin C Booster and all I can say is WOW, I mean, WOW. Within a day my skin was significantly healthier, glowier, and smoother. You guys I am in LOVE!! I am convinced the cellular repair serum is the game-changer. I mean, I am faithful to my Pure Radiance Oil- Clear, but it’s all about incorporating new products to keep your skin rejuvenated!! This serum delivers hydrated, plump, smooth and clear skin within a week of using it, and the best part is when I add the Vitamin C booster to it three times a week the extra glow comes along!! This gem is designed to go beyond the surface level of skin with the highest concentration of super potent free radical-fighting ingredients. I’m telling you, as long as I have True Botanicals, aging is a walk in the park! Retail Cellular Repair Serum-RENEW: $140.00, Vitamin C Booster: $90, find at http://www.truebotanicals.com
SKIN FAVORITES: Coola Daydream Mineral Primer with SPF 30 was an impulse purchase when I did an event at my favorite shop Enkel Nontoxic Luxuries in Orange County. So far I have absolutely been loving it. It’s weightless, preps your skin for flawless makeup application and gives you the ultimate mineral protection with SPF 30. Retail: $42, find at http://www.enkelnontoxicluxuries.com. Elde Cosmetics sent me some goodies awhile back and I mentioned their lip and cheek rushes my last post, but their Eye Cream has been a major standout for me, honestly the best I have used to date! It’s extremely creamy, nourishing, lifts the eye area and smooths fine lines. This Norwegian brand has stolen my heart with their beautiful minimalistic packaging and “cocktails of advanced neuro-cosmeceuticals, peptides, proteins and botanicals that makes anti-ageing as easy as 1, 2, 3.” Trust me, it’s worth the higher price tag. Retail: $75, find at http://www.eldecosmetics.com.
MAKEUP FAVORITES: My longtime favorite RMS Beauty have finally released powder pressed swift eyeshadows and I was ecstatic since their cream shadows just don’t really work for my oily skin. I immediately swooped up the golden shade ‘Sunset Beach” and haven’t stopped using it. It’s very reflective, no glitter or frost here which I actually like. I’ve been using it to highlight the inner corners of my eyes, cheekbones and cupid’s bow and it really enhances my features while warming up my complexion. I really want to swoop up a couple of more! Retail: $20, find at http://www.rmsbeauty.com. Another new gem I snagged at Enkel Nontoxic Luxuries was Fit Glow Beauty’s “Sculpt” which is a major multi-tasker. I use this to contour my cheeks and eyes and it even matches my brows so this is a new favorite of mine. It’s slightly cooler toned which is perfect for fall and winter, blends like a dream and extremely pigmented! Retail: $36, find at http://www.enkelnontoxicluxuries.com. Bite Beauty isn’t the cleanest and greenest but it isn’t the worst either, and their new multisticks intrigued the hell out of me so I swooped up the nude shade in “Blondie” and I have been reaching for it often when I don’t have a ton of time in the morning. It gives me some warmth and definition in a flash and for a cream finish, has some decent staying power. These come in a wide range of shades to, they are definitely worth checking out! Retail: $24, find at http://www.sephora.com.
HAIR FAVORITES: The Innate Life is an indie green beauty hair care brand that I have completely fallen in love with. They so generously sent me their Rose Hair Elixir and Scalp Treatment for hydration repair and hair growth and let me just say, I’m usually not a hair kind of gal but these products have made a major impact on me. The Rose Elixir is divine, it smells insanely beautiful, like fresh roses and I can’t get enough. I apply a couple of drops (it’s very concentrated) to my damp hair after a shower focusing on the ends and the gorgeous scent remains while providing heat protection and adding shine. The scalp treatment is unlike anything I’ve tried, it’s thick and filled with gorgeous shea butter and oils. I massage this on my scalp once a week during a shower, leave on for five minutes, and shampoo TWICE afterwards. You are left with some seriously silky, shiny, healthy feeling hair, it’s genius! The Innate Life is also so generously offering my readers 15% off their order with code “FREELOVE15” in honor of my birthday weekend, so I would definitely take advantage of that! 🙂 Retail: $15 for Rose Elixir, $18 for Scalp Treatment, find at http://www.theinnnatelife.com.
Last but not least I cannot forget to mention my newest FLB Illuminating Oil release, WILDCHILD!!! I’m so excited to finally get this in the shop, it’s a beautiful reflective turquoise sparkling oil with the amazing organic rosehip and grape seed oils that tone and hydrate the skin. Head over to the shop to check it out, this gem is definitely for the adventurous dreamer!! I also wanted to thank all of my amazing readers, followers and customers for supporting this blog and my new business, you are all appreciated beyond words! Love my free birds!!
